The club was kindly invited to play in the GFI Hong Kong Football Club 10s for the first time on 28th and 29th March 2007. This tournament is renowned around the world as being one of the strongest 10s competitions, so the club had to draw on its selection expertise to assemble a team capable of competing and winning. Two players Willy Hafu and Brett Sweeney returned from the victorious COBRA 10s team of 2006 and were joined by a number of top players and exciting youngsters. In addition, a major triumph for the club was securing the coaching services for Frank Hadden (current Scotland coach) and John Rutherford (former Scotland and Lions 10 and Scotland coach).
